$40 Million Investment to Modernize Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson Airport

The Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport is set to receive a $40 million investment that will go towards modernizing the airport. This is great news for the City of Atlanta and its many visitors, as the Hartsfield-Jackson Airport is one of the busiest airports in the world. With over 107 million passengers passing through each year, it is crucial that the airport is able to accommodate its high volume of traffic. These upgrades will help to do just that, making travel through Atlanta even more convenient.

This investment will go towards upgrading the airport’s facilities and infrastructure, making it even easier and more enjoyable to travel through. Passengers who have traveled through Atlanta in the past few years may have noticed the new large steel overhead structures which provide protection from inclement weather. This addition brought much-needed function as well as an upgraded appearance.

Georgia has announced a string of major infrastructure projects including Hyundai and Rivian automotive plants and a large expansion of the Port of Savannah. The state has been a leader in aviation and transportation for years and is now becoming a worldwide hub for electric vehicle manufacturing. Georgia continues to reap the benefits of long-term strategic investment.

The newly announced investment is part of a bigger Georgia airport infrastructure improvement plan that totals $619 million. This investment is expected to create over 500 jobs. The project will require many experienced Atlanta-area mechanical contractors including millwrights, commercial HVAC specialists, piping specialists, and many more trades.
